Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Ocean City – 2024

We live locally and were desperate for a new restaurant. The Tide Room did not disappoint. Food, service and ambiance were all amazing. Fresh, upscale, with an amazing ocean view. Our server Cleo was both attentive and so much fun. We will definitely return.

We had the BEST experience at the Tide Room. Our server Matt was amazing, knowledgeable and so so nice. The ambiance here is everything. We started with the dumplings and the soy ginger sauce was to die for! I had the scallops and they were the best meal I’ve ever had. My fiancé had the halibut with the deconstructed eloté and could not stop talking about how the cook on the fish was phenomenal. The bread and butter they give you was even superior! We were dying over the pizza herb butter, it was amazing, we would’ve bought 6 tubs of it if we could’ve. A high end dining experience with very reasonable prices! Please do yourself a favor and experience the amazing restaurant!

What a great spot! Booked for our anniversary (and nice happy anniversary card awaiting on our table - nice touch) - and the dining room is beautiful! Bright, airy, with a bank of windows overlooking beach too - great setting for dinner. Menu was very good - mostly seafood, but meat/chicken options too. I got tandoori spiced salmon - really enjoyed. Also a side of sautéed spinach, which was among the best I’ve had. My wife got swordfish and cleaned her plate. Have to say for a restaurant that aspires to be higher end - prices were very reasonable. And our server, Grant, was the best - very attentive and friendly. The Tide Room is a real gem - classy spot with great food that won’t break the bank! Will be back. Bar area looks cool too - and they also have outside seating - ocean front!

The Jungle Bar is located on the deck at The Plaza condos. The restaurant is inside on the 1st floor. The outside bar is bar typical bar food. The inside restaurant is upscale casual with excellent food, heavy on the seafood. Both are closing at the end of the 2024 season.

My wife and I were walking along the beach around 99th St when we heard a band playing some really good music at a beach bar. What a cool little hidden gem this turned out to be! There is more than enough room on their outdoor patio for plenty of people. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, both food and drinks. That was a nice stop on our walk on the beach. We had a few drinks and listened to some cool tunes and continued on our way. I definitely recommend stopping in if you are on a beach stroll

For real great place for music food and cold beverages. A local favorite for happy hour any day of the week. ... Dude, you won't believe the rad time I had at this gnarly outside patio bar, bro! The grub was totally awesome, man – like, mouthwatering and plenty to keep me fueled for the day's epic adventures. And oh, the live bands, man, they were totally tubular! Every single day, they cranked out some sick tunes, and the vibe was just unreal. If you're looking for a spot with killer food, endless eats, and the sickest live jams, this place is the wave to ride, bro! Catch you there!

This place deserves more than 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. From the receptionist on the ground floor to the greeter on the third, the staff is super friendly. Our server, Katie, was absolutely outstanding!!! So super friendly, checking on us, getting to know us and giving us a great table outside to view the sunset. The vibe is so chill, with live acoustic music that we could hear coming up from the first floor patio. The food was amazing- we shared a pizza, lobster Mac & cheese, risotto and fingerling potatoes. For dessert we shared 5-layer chocolate cake and a cheesy creme brulee

Fine dining in an upscale rooftop setting. First off…bring your sunglasses. We chose to sit outside for the sunset but it was bright and warm. The sommelier assisted me with my choice of wine…delicious. The house salad of arugula was nice but forgettable. The rack of lamb was a gorgeous presentation but overcooked. Still tasted OK and I turned the manager down for a new one. I just didn’t want to wait. I applauded the restaurant for their efforts to make it right. My husband’s whole fish snapper however, was INCREDIBLE. I’m not a huge seafood person, and even I thought it was amazing. Highly recommend. Overall, it was a great evening. The glitches in my lamb were made up by the awesome attitudes of our server Kensey and the manager to make our overall meal enjoyable. We will return!

We chose Embers to celebrate our eleventh anniversary this year. The new space is elegant, spacious and modern with an open floor plan, large bar area and open kitchen. We booked a reservation online and were warmly greeted by the hostess. There was even an anniversary card at our table signed by the entire staff and several stopped by our table to congratulate us. The atmosphere plus staff is the best of any restaurant we’ve visited in OC. I’m a wheelchair user and this is the most accessible restaurant I’ve visited in OC. There’s an elevator that goes from the hostess stand downstairs to the dining room. The aisles between tables are large and easily navigable. The bar has an extra room for low top tables which are essential for wheelchairs. I had a vanilla old fashioned, my husband had a smoked old fashioned and we started with the crab pizza. His drink came with fanfare in a smoking box—a festive presentation, though I thought the flavor of the smoke fell flat. My vanilla Old Fashioned was delicious and I highly recommend the pizza! We will absolutely be back for it! We shared the tomahawk with a side of eggplant for our entree. The steak was cooked to perfection and beautifully carved. It was topped with a bone marrow butter—delicious though it wasn’t necessary—the steak itself was so tender and flavorful. The eggplant was bitter and hadn’t been sweated but they took it off the bill. Next time we’ll try a different veg. This place is pro and I’m really happy to have a new favorite restaurant in Ocean City. Thanks for a great anniversary guys!

Haley was our server and she was fast, efficient, and awesome! From the bartenders to the kitchen staff, everything was exceptional. Each round of drinks was perfectly crafted, and the food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering—impressive for a table of five. Everyone’s meals came out simultaneously, and they were absolutely delicious. This was my second visit, the first being around this time last year, and they never disappoint. Kudos to the entire team at this fantastic restaurant/bar! 10/10

Great place to eat at! Me and my sister went for the oysters and whole lobster and it was ridiculous! We had a great waitress brook who definitely went out of her way for me and a great bartender DUSTIN who makes a mean "baltimore zoo" and an "old prostitue" ......I also got a chocolate cake shot that was on the money! Thanks for the great service.....PLEASE SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT.....and ask for Brooke when you go !

Our food was good and our server was friendly and attentive, the food was a little pricey but that’s to be expected in a tourist town like Ocean City. We then discovered, The Structure. An unholy creation that surely ascended from the depths of hell to burn us to a crisp atop the Skye Bar rooftop eating area. This massive chrome edifice truly put a damper on an otherwise great experience. Several of us experienced severe burns following a late afternoon dinner within the presence of this hellspawn. You would be forgiven for thinking it wasn’t so bad, but the early October sun being reflected off this creation was unrelenting. The sweltering heat caused my friend Michael to go up in smoke. I’ve attached a few photos of The Structure and a photo of Michael upon arriving and after leaving. If you decide to visit the Skye Bar Ocean City, beware of The Structure.

Ropewalk is a great family restaurant. The location is right on the bay and you get a front row seat to great OC sunsets. You feel like you are on a tropical resort with all the palm trees and decor. We sat outside in the beach area and it was really nice watching the sunset. There’s also a playground and a few bar type games. The food was really good. The scallops were cooked perfectly and were delicious. The calamari appetizer was also very tasty. The service was great and the food came out in good time despite the restaurant being quite busy. The food is quite expensive, however. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great.

This place was super neat. You can eat outside while your kids play or eat inside and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. The food was really good and our server Kaitlin F. was awesome. She came over and helped clean up a spill my grand child made, and she was very patient and kind. Great place to take the family.

Excellent location for a sunset meal. The Delmarva Burger was nothing like I’ve ever tasted before. Great tasting burger and crab dip. The dip, while on the extremely salty side was excellent. It’s a salt water saltiness, not a too much table salt so I still enjoyed it. Really good skin on mashed potatoes. I think they’re loaded with butter but are super creamy. Best Patron skinny margaritas I’ve had and was surprised it was better than most Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. Someone with me had the Mac and cheese but with blackened chicken and it was amazing. The cheese sauce seems house made and is extremely good. The capatavi pasta was perfectly cooked. Another person got the burger with waffle fries. Amazing cooked fries with a type of seasoning like Arby’s but better. I’d definitely eat here again

We booked reservations online and it was very easy to do. The staff was very attentive and sat us right away. All I can say is that the food was amazing. We had the canoli dessert and finished off a bottle of red. Should have went with white. The owner stopped to talk to us for a minute which was nice. He seemed to know everyone and treated everyone nice. We would definitely come here again.

My mother and I recently dined at Ristorante Antipasti in Ocean City, MD, and it was an unforgettable experience. The highlight of the meal was the Gamberoni alla Siciliana, which is quite possibly the best Italian dish I’ve ever eaten. The prawns were cooked to perfection, with a delightful balance of flavors that transported me straight to Sicily. The service was impeccable from start to finish. Upon entering, we received a warm and heartfelt greeting from the owner, which set the tone for the evening. As we wrapped up our exquisite meal, the owner engaged us in lighthearted conversation, making us feel like cherished guests. Ristorante Antipasti offers not just a meal, but an experience filled with authentic Italian cuisine and genuine hospitality. I cannot recommend this restaurant any more highly!

Great experience. Went there for our wedding anniversary. Menu had numerous options to choose from. Service was on point. Food can out very quickly. Both dishes were excellent. Was recommended to us by a bartender from an OC bar.

The calamari was different but delicious. They had a spicy taste to them as well as the dipping sauce. The fried banana peppers were surprisingly good and added an extra pop of flavor. The crab dip was AWESOME, I think the portion could have been bigger, it's served in a small bread bowl with tortilla chips and there were a lot of chips. The mini burger sliders had a great taste to them. The wings were good.

Service was exceptional! We were seated in under a minute at full dinner rush and almost immediately a waitress was at our table introducing herself. Food arrived very fast. The fries were delicious and the burger was great. The fried pickles and Seafood risotto are a family favorite! Crab fries were very dry, Which was really the only issue. They were very accommodating to dietary requests, especially for vegetarians.

Everything was great! Prices were reasonable. Friendly service with very little wait times. The food was marvelous! I had the crab cakes with risotto and brussel sprouts. Plenty enough for two. I tried my best but just couldn't finish it all, except the crab cakes of course. Definitely tops on my list. I wish I had room for dessert. Next time...

We had a fantastic dinner here, though they serve breakfast and lunch too. This hidden gem within the hotel offers a serene and elegant atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing meal away from the hustle and bustle. Richard, our server, was exceptional—super attentive and friendly. The drinks and food were absolutely outstanding, with side dishes that perfectly complemented the main courses. The appetizers were delicious, though a larger piece of tuna on the nachos would have been a great addition, as the small portion was a bit overshadowed. The lobster tail, while tasty, was cut in half, which slightly affected its presentation and might have dried it out. Still, the restaurant’s clean, modern vibe makes it a top choice. Don’t forget to make your reservation on OpenTable!

This was delightful! I went for a solo dinner at the end of a trip and the whole experience was wonderful. First of all, the hostess was so kind. She checked three tables to get me the best ocean view. I had an orange crush to drink, the crab dip, and the lobster orzo. Everything was delicious and my service was perfect! The crab dip was honestly the best I have ever had and the orzo was absolutely covered in lobster that was well-cooked and flavorful. I will be coming back the next time I am in Ocean City and will be recommending it to everyone!

Oh my gosh. Best seafood restaurant I’ve ever been to. We didn’t have a reservation but guess what ?! They were able to sit us . Outstanding customer service, outstanding food and outstanding atmosphere. I am in love with that restaurant.

Jess was incredible! From start to finish during our fine dining experience, she truly impressed us! Her dish recommendations were spot on, and we couldn't have been happier. We took our dessert home, and after just one bite, we knew we had to finish it right away. I will definitely return on my next visit! The experience and trip to Ocean City were absolutely worth it.

We arrived near sunset but were pleasantly surprised when we didn't have to wait too long for a table. We looked at the menus while we waited, and got a kick out of the kids' menu! :) The sunset was beautiful and food was great- even got the kids' to try oysters for the first time :) Our server was friendly and attentive, and we enjoyed the atmosphere.

Well worth it! Food (fine dining) and drinks were amazing. They do remove seating in the bar area after a certain time, and we had two women with us with disabilities, so that was a bit of a let-down. We managed to find seating outside near a fire pit, but since it was already hot out, having the fire pits active made it unbearably hot. A server was nice enough to turn it off for us, but we left shortly after. If I'm ever back in the area I'd visit again!

Great restaurant and very family friendly. Lots of tvs with all the sports going on. Food was great. Kids loved the shark attack drink that is basically a Shirley temple they pour in the red from the sharks mouth. Crab cakes were fantastic. Big pitchers of drinks to keep you filled up. Friendly staff. Great playground for younger kids. My only criticism is some of the booth tables were a little tight for four people. Overall loved it and will go back. Decent parking as well.

The restaurant decor really transforms you to feel like you are a pirate on a pirate ship lol. The menu has lots of variety from wings, burgers, soup, salads, sandwiches, wraps and pasta. The drink menu alcoholic and nonalcoholic is robust. My server was pleasant and had great teammates that provided assistance when she was unavailable. We went at the beginning of dinner. So it was not packed (5:00 pm) - BUT as we were leaving it was a wait times and busy. Usually there is a wait if you go anytime after 6:30 pm - especially weekends.

This place is good.. we had a good waiter, Max, who was efficient. I ordered the Freddie’s Bay Pasta and Maryland Crab soup. Both were outstanding.. the mixed drinks were good.. only drawback was them charging for very little thing that seemed to be kind of brutal.. otherwise good food and outside was nice. I would recommend for sure.

This place is amazing! I am here now celebrating a birthday with a loved one and all I can say is the food is excellent! I had to stop mid meal to capture the experience. The flavor of the appetizer and main dishes is top tier. We had Oysters as an appetizer and they were so fresh! The horse radish and cocktail sauce that came with the oysters added a kick but they were delicious without the sauce. The drinks were amazing…we had the lemon drop and spicy watermelon margarita! I had the seafood pesto dish and the FLAVOR WAS OFF THE CHARTS, 10/10! The swordfish was flavorful and cooked to perfection. My loved one and I are foodies and he has worked on the restaurant industry for over ten years and does not impress easily but was very impressed. Peter was our host and he was very professional and attentive. Lou took our photos when we came in and we ended up purchasing them because she took such great photos; she was very pleasant and respectful of our time. Overall this was a great birthday experience for my loved one and for me because of how great everything turned out! Great conclusion to our time away from home. Peter even helped us celebrate by adding a candle to our dessert! The cheesecake was also very good, the fruit was fresh! Thank you coastal salt and staff for making our experience special!

We enjoyed our dinner here. The food arrived fast. The service was very good. The atmosphere was family friendly. My daughter ordered the steak and it was cooked correctly. The food was seasoned well and we enjoyed the oysters. We liked the outdoor seating and the beach view. The menu had a good variety for everyone in our group. We will be back to try other foods.

Our experience at Coastal Salt went very well. The food is amazing, and that view of the beach is gorgeous. We enjoyed everything that we ordered. I highly recommend the blackened scallops and blackened mahi fish tacos.

We have been to OCMD every year the last couple of summers. We happened upon this lovely restaurant and everything was excellent! The food was delicious, the drinks were well made, and the service was the best! We had Dee and she was lovely and nice to chat with :) I had the scallop risotto and my Mom had the filet Mignon, roasted potatoes, and grilled asparagus. You can park in the Marriott lot across the way if you dine here just FYI. We will be coming back!

Had a really good time here. They had a piano player which made for a lovely dinner experience. Our server was really friendly, and the food was delicious.

Good place for a nicer meal while at the beach. Definitely a steak and lobsters type of dinner. No great view, though. We were greeted warmly and service was prompt.

Angler Restaurant & Bar is great if you’re looking for a place to have a fancy drink right by the ocean. However, if you’re expecting top notch fish dishes, I would say that you’d be better off searching somewhere else (not that they were the worst. I just didn’t think that they stood out). Otherwise, I liked their rice and service. It was especially nice that they paired my flounder dish with a slice of lemon.

Party of 4 we all loved the fish entrees scallops and clam chowder. We had a wonderful time. Beautiful view of the bay with lovely boats next to the restaurant. It was really cozy. I wished they had snow crab legs their menu might need to be updated on Google. Otherwise it was a great treat to check out!

Been here a few times over the years and also enjoyed the atmosphere near the water and pier. Service can be spotty at times but overall the food is consistent, daily fish specials, fresh catches and nice drink selection. This is a solid choice in an area with many many options.

My family and I came here for dinner. The bread was average. We had chicken tenders which was so different. They were good but very very soft. The fries were amazing! Crunchy and full of flavor. I didn’t try the calamari but my family liked it. We got two drinks. One was great and the other was okay not my type of drink. I got steak and was kinda disappointed. It wasn’t that great. My family got burgers and they enjoyed that more. The child as a side was great. Crunchy and full of flavor. I really enjoyed the asparagus. The cheesecake was good but wasn’t a fan of the crust. Service was wonderful.

A year ago, we ate in the restaurant. This year, we got our breakfast To Go to eat on our wonderful balcony and enjoy the ocean view. . Nice, fresh, hot food with good portions. The avocado toast with two poached eggs was a winner for me. The first breakfast, it accidentally came with the potatoes - really filling! Second picture was how the toast came the next day without potatoes. Good coffee and pretty blue ocean theme in the restaurant. My husband enjoys the acai sorbet with coconut, bananas and fruit. I noticed this year, there was less scoops of sorbet in the order. Hilton Gold and higher members get a $15 per person ($30 max) food/beverage credit.
